116710ln is in for service and the quote is $1030usd
The only item of note was a new crystal due to a scratch which I was expecting. Overall, it seems a bit more expensive than I expected, but certainly not big deal. 4 week ETA to completion.
Just figured that I'd share the current service cost that I was quoted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just had mine serviced. 800 USD. They recommended replacing the insert for a couple of really tiny marks but I opted to keep it. I want to see how the Cerachrome ages.

My 116710LN is in for service right now and quote is €720 EUR which includes a new crown as old one is damaged apparently. Quite steep I think too. 8-10 week ETA on mine as we have no service centres in Ireland and needs to be shipped to UK.

That is a little cheaper than official Rolex price Should be €700 for service + €50 for the crown.

Sounds about right with new crystal
If you can live with the current crystal, maybe you can decline the "new crystal"? But I would do the complete package. You are paying that much anyway, might as well ...

The scratch is right on the cyclops so it's annoying and I'm definitely having it changed out. Doesn't make sense to me to save $100 or $200 and keep the old damaged crystal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I usually look at it this way. $1030 for 10.5 years, so that's less than $100 a year. You spend more money on Starbucks than that. haha

I thought it would be cheaper, esp when AP ROs are around 700-800 euros for a service.

I wasn’t provided an itemized service quote. I sent the watch back to Rolex through my AD for ease of shipping as I could simply drop it off at the AD. They called me to inform me of the price today, but I didn’t ask for the full itemized service recommendation from Rolex. I just said ok when they said $1030 verbally for service plus new crystal. While interesting to understand, I was certainly going to say yes to their recommendation unless it was something outlandish. My hope is that I’ll see the itemized list of service and replacement parts when the watch is returned, but honestly no biggie if I don’t

Yes, service at an RSC includes an itemized list. As noted, though, what you're describing sounds about.

I would assume it is case-by-case. But does anyone know if dealers typically attach a markup and handling fee. They have to cover the cost of shipping after all.

If it were up to me, I’d say that they can cover their costs from the margin on the Daytona that I purchased from them when I dropped this one off for service
