Type XX serial number project (Breguet, Girard-Perreguax, Mathey-Tissot)
Hello everyone-
I want to share a project I have been working on around the vintage 3-register "Type XX" manufactured by Mathey-Tissot, and also branded as Girard-Perregaux and Breguet. My serial number project includes information for every Type XX I have seen on the web and instagram, and is categorized by case number plus traits of the watch, including dial type, case, caseback, hands, etc., with the ability to search, sort and filter the information. Still to come are detailed sections for the Type XX with images, as I did with the Zenith A386 and Mido 5907 research, on dial, case, movement, hands, etc. But in advance of those, hopefully the page can still help people learn more about what pieces exist and to buy smart. If you are willing to include any 3-register Type XX information you have (for your watch or otherwise) to help me as I keep refining the project, please feel free to reach out. I of course I would love whatever feedback you have on the website generally (meant as a resource for information). Enjoy the research. I hope it is useful, and please let me know any suggestions or corrections you have! As I am new here, I don't have the ability to post links (need a higher post count first, understandably), but you can find it by searching for the site name, alphahands, and then looking in the 'Watches' menu. Regards, Norm |
