Will Tudor release a BB GMT 39mm

Does anyone know if Tudor will release the above model? I have a bb58 and love the size, but the GMT 41mm is far too bulky, if released in 39mm i would queue overnight!

What are the odds of bringinf this out by next yr and when do we find out, basel 19?

I feel pretty confident we'll see the standard Black Bay colors. The burgundy is literally just a different bezel insert, after all. But the GMT is a different thing -- if the movement doesn't fit gracefully into the smaller, slimmer case, and Tudor doesn't have anything more appropriate, then we're not getting a 39mm GMT any time soon.

I just want a black bezel GMT in 41mm. I highly doubt a new movement for the smaller version.

I doubt it. They put some investment in making the new movement for the GMT, why would they spend more for a smaller case just to compete with its own big brother a year later? I don't see it happening at least for a few years.

Tudor is good at surprises but that would really be surprising. It seems they need to produce more Gmts and 58s to catch up on that demand.

I highly doubt it. It seems like Rolex is having enough issues producing new 3285s and the Tudor GMTs have had their date issues. I don't think Rolex expands the next gen GMT into any additional watch models until they can get enough going for the GMT Master and BB GMT.

I’d ask yourself if it would make any sense for Tudor to start releasing 39mm models on top of their existing 41mm models. For example, would Rolex release a 40mm Exp II with the current 42mm Exp II still in production? Would Rolex release a 38mm GMT? This isn’t Omega.

Not to mention multiple sizes of the bezel-less Black Bay....

No I’m saying two different sized models of the exact same piece. 39mm GMT & 41mm GMT. 39mm Black Bay Black & 41mm Black Bay Black, etc. I just can’t see that. The Black Bay sans bezel is essentially Tudor’s OP, so that’s a bit different.

Highly doubt they would make a smaller GMT movement that would fit a 39mm case. I think they still have to perfect their current GMT movement (date issues).

Have you looked at Rolex catalog? They make the datejust in multiple sizes.

Unlikely and I really hope they don't. The GMT is perfect the way it is. If I wanted a smaller GMT I'd go get a five digit Rolex GMT

At some point I believe they will. You can look at the Tudor lineup and project that over the years they will expand each lineup. I look for them to put an inhouse movement in the Heritage Chrono lineup, Ranger and a different color on the Pelagos. Just my guess.

It’s the case thickness that makes all the difference. The Fifty-Eight is 3mm thinner (a 25% reduction)
