Daytona Beach MKIII (modding next level...)

forum members not liking mods please look away to avoid shock!
thank you.

This works even better then brown straps.
Handmade customized alligator strap, quality slightly better then the OEM Rolex ones.

I did warn you !!

Bought my wife a ladies Omega Speedmaster, it has the same coloured strap.
Not wanting to sound sexist but the Daytona looks mighty effeminate now.

I think that looks good, but would look great on a brown strap to match those Subdials

The straps needs brown stitching to match the subdials.

That looks great! Thanks for sharing. What I love about straps is that you can switch out whenever and feel like you have an all new watch.

If someone told me that they were putting those color of straps on their watch.....I'd say no way! That would look ugly! Seeing it in your pics, that looks fantastic! I'm really liking it! Nicely done.

First the dial doesn't belong. Second the watch now looks like a lady's Beach Daytona 116519. Other than that it looks great. Why not just try to find one of those.

Good point!! actually considered that, slight regret I didn't tick the "brown stitching" box !!

Thats no fun !! buying a watch that someone else designed ;)
On a serious note, Platona dial is pretty cool, but hate the brown bezel AND cant afford it, thats why I have chosen this route;)
The blue OEM Daytona beach has a different shade of blue, romans, lizzard strap etc etc. No good for me.

It just works !

Haters gonna hate. I say enjoy your watch, and who gives a rip what others think. That’s coming from someone that owns a Platinum Daytona.

Thanks for your friendly comments as a Platona owner Jason !!
Love your dial !!!

When I started this project about an half year ago had a choice between the standard one and the one with diamonds. The one with diamonds was in front of me, just needed to say yes to the watchmaker and fork out an additional 5K. Thought the diamond one was too daring an not sure about the outcome with the WG bezel instead of brown ceramic one. A little regret to be very honest !
They follow the Rolex rules very strict now and a switch not possible anymore…:(
