Collection Down to 12

Hi, over the last 2 years I've sold more than half of my collection and I only kept 12 pieces, still a lot but I enjoy every single one of these survivors and now I can say I'm very happy with these. I don't have my grail watch the Lange Datograph but I'm not wealthy enough and I just hope one day I will be able to afford it.

I forgot to take a picture of my Seiko Diver that I like a lot.

I've the DH evil panda. It's my only non-rolex watch, great bang for the buck, which I use as my no worry travel watch with decent WR.

Thanks it's my second favorite after the Omega.. unfortunately someone decided to force that date window at 4.30, but I still love it.

oh I wouldn’t sweat the date on that one—I think that’s traditionally where the date is located on an el primero and it’s so cool to have a panerai with a zenith movement IMO.

In the last 2 years I sold a Breitling Navitimer, Rolex BLNR, Yatch Master, Panerai PAM111, Tudor Blackbay, JLC Reverso, JLC Chrono, Omega Seamaster, Omega Planet Ocean, Oris Diver 65, Oris Nascar, 3 Seikos. I also gave to my wife my oldest watch, a Rolex Yatch Master medium size steel/gold blue face that I purchased in 1999.

The exercise I did was wear them all and decide which one I really like and would not want to be without. My problem with Rolex is that I dislike the date/magnifier and that limits my options. I really like the Explorer I 39mm.

I like that fact that your collection is so diverse! Sometimes its the less pronounced watches which are the most cherished. My kids gave me a casio for my birthday, its the only watch i have ever been gifted so the sentimental value is high.

Thank you sir, that is true. I particularly value too the ones that have been with me for a long time like the speedy for 18 years and the Panerai Chrono for 17 years. I also like to have some inexpensive watches like the DH, and at 38mm they look good on my 6.5" wrist.

OP, I like the divertsity in your collection. I've often thought of consolidating mine from 10 to about three, but just can't get rid of the ones I have right now, as they're all special to me in one way or another. Great pics of your watches too!

The Dato is a superb piece, I hope you get there, even if you have to have a large sell off, worth it.

I understand and can appreciate the conundrum. I'm not fond of the Maxi cases so my choices are also limited. I don't like the cyclops on the Subs but don't mind if on the GMT or ExpII. Funny how we develop tastes in watches.

Thanks!! Curious as to why the watches are special? Sentimental, uniqueness?

For me in the end all my watches were expendable. The ones I liked the most ended up staying however almost as if providence intervened.

Man thank you, I've been a few times to the Lange AD in Wynwood, very close to where I work (Miami Beach).. They are very nice and gracious and let me try the pieces even if I already told them I'm not looking to buy right now. Right next is the Heuer store where they serve you wine and I tried the new Hiroshi Fujiwara piece, so beautiful, right next is the JLC store and right next is Panerai. Then across the street is Rolex, Omega and Seiko, where the guys treat you to Japanese Whisky.. I love to go over there.

Yes what I really like is symmetry (no date) and general wearability, that's why the Omega is my favorite.
