Did my AD scratch my Rolex before it went to service
I had my brand new 114300 serviced due to movement issues. My dealer sent it to the cologne service center and they claimed it had scratches. It is back now and I see scratches I have not recognized so fare. Treated the watch like a baby.

Impossible for anyone to answer. Of course it is a possibility. You can take it up with the AD and hopefully they can make it right with a quick polish. Of just do it yourself.

Did my AD scratch my Rolex before it went to service
Does it really matter in the long run?
The AD, the RSC, you - anyone in that chain might have done it. Doesn’t look different than it will look in 6 months - it’s bound to get swirls and scratches. Since the only reasonable remedy you can expect is polishing, the only question is who pays... Personally I wouldn’t polish it now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Yeah, get it polished if you want but it will look like that with normal wear soon enough. If it wasn't the clasp I would be more upset.

Doesn't matter, IMO. You'd have put those scratches on in a week yourself

I prefer to send the watch directly to the RSC rather than go through the AD. Of course, if I am close I'll take it in. Fewer people handling the better.

It's a very easy DIY fix if it bothers you that much.
Surprised that the guys in Koln sent it out like that
