Hi folks!
So just now I was dancing with my wife, of course I was wearing my new BLRO. And when lifting her up, I think a good portion of the weight was being lifted by the inner side of the clasp pushing it laterally toward my hand. Now I’m afraid it could have bent (certain parts) of the clasp/bracelet.
I hope the professionals at TRF can convince me otherwise

It would take a lot more force than that to bend the bracelet. And it would be obvious, i.e. hard to close. You're imagining things.

We don’t own a scale but I’m a size small, so I think that covers the fears of me weighing 700 lbs

You dont bend a Rolex bracelet that easily.

Jubilees develop play with wear sooner than an oyster .

This would never have bothered me with my other GMT, that has an oyster bracelet. But I don’t know about the jubilee.

I am not understanding how a good portion of her weight could have been lifted by your watch bracelet?? As opposed to your hands, arms, shoulders?

Unless she had the heel of her shoe pressed against your watch clasp as some part of a circus routine, I’m pretty sure you’re fine.

I have owned jubilee since 1994.
They are way tougher than you can imagine.
Can’t imagine a visible bend with the ceramic inserts.

BTW, wives are brutal on watches. Mine scratched my crystal on my BLRO with her diamond and it was while dancing.

Your watch looks fine. Biggest issue is scratching someone with the watch, not hurting the watch.

As far as I know only PM watches have the ceramic inserts and those inserts aren't going to do much in preventing a bending force. Those are there to reduce the friction that causes links to wear over time aka the real cause of stretch.
