Anyone tested the YachtMaster Water Resistance?

Hello all at TRF! I know that the Yacht Mater has 100m water resistance rating (vs the Submariner 300m). Even though the YM has the same triplock crown as the Sub, it’s likely the thinner caseback that brings the WR down to 100m.

All that said, has anyone put the YM to the test? Specifically, I’m wondering if a watchmaker pressure test would show that the YM in fact could withstand 300m of pressure....similar to the Sub.

Anyone support or refute my hypothesis?

It will have you covered up to any recreational depth. Since the use of dive watches to monitor time at depth has been made obsolete by wrist worn "Dive Computers" you should be fine for any reasonable depth.

Watches can be easily tested at any watch repair shop. Every Rolex watch I've ever had tested has passed. FWIW, the trip lock seals isn't the only thing going into water resistance formulation.

Mine has been "tested" to the length of my left arm, in the pool. Pass.

I would like to know the true limit of the YM too.

Just came across an interesting article from Hodinkee on the complexity of water resistance testing.
