Tourneau in Las Vegas

I popped into Tourneau at Caesar's yesterday to have a look around. Of course, not a single sport model in sight. Spoke to the sales guy for a few. He said that they had received a shipment of a dozen watches the week prior including 6 stainless subs. Instead of calling a waitlist, they put them all in the case at 6pm that evening and by noon the next day they were all gone.

I stopped by a couple of weeks ago and they had nothing. Crazy that they put them in the display case, good for them.

Did not like the fact I got no box or papers, just the watch.

Vegas is a complete waste of time if you are looking for a watch to buy.

The 9 Rolexes I bought in Vegas this year might disagree with that.

If there is a price increase coming, not sure why any AD would want to display their SS right now or even sell them at all until the new year

I stand corrected then -- lots of selection, no games, whatever you want is widely available. Just last week I saw countless two toned women watches as far as the eye can see. Its a watch lovers dream come true.

Most shops on the Vegas Strip close between 10-11pm. Only a small handful are open until 12.

The forum shops at Caesar’s close at 12am on Friday and Saturday. 11pm other days.

The Wynn promenade that has Watches of Switzerland and Rolex (by WoS), as well as the Venetian which has Horologio (2 stores) have similar operating hours.

OP, hope you checked out their preowned section. It has a great selection for trying on watches you normally wouldn’t be able to.

Yes. If it's not one extreme, surely, it's the other.

That's exactly how it is at every single dealer all over the world. They all have watches in the back, including Vegas.

Not sure what your point is. Vegas dealers are like all the others. Certainly not a waste of time. If anything, I've had much better luck there than my friends have that have bought from local dealers and keep waiting and waiting.

And i experienced the total opposite.

Nothing of what I wanted for sale in LV.
Waitlist?? No sorry.....
Call and ask if we have/will recieve/can order X? Sorry we do not do bussiness over the phone. Only in person.

And back home without hope I go to my local AD and tell what I am looking for.
And the in LV unobtainable never going to happen is waiting for me in the back room....

Needless to say I will from now on buy every Rolex I purchase in the US from them

That's good, find a dealer that treats you right and can help you get what you want. I suspect Vegas dealers have a higher price of entry than most smaller dealers, but the upside is if you are interested in a lot of watches they are big enough to get a good supply of everything. My friends that get first dibs on everything locally wait forever because the dealers just don't get a lot of the watches they want. Even if they're first in line, the watches just don't come in. Meanwhile I'm getting my SS Sub, CHNR, Pepsi, Daytona, etc. back to back.

I was a little naive and purchased a Speedmaster from Horologie in the Venetian as I was told they own the Rolex store at Aria and a purchase through them would help get me a Hulk or Sub from the Rolex shop (I was brand new to the watch world). I went into that store after my next visit and had the worst experience with the SAs. When I did mention that I bought a piece from the Venetian store, they then offered to take my information in the event something were to come in. Pure waste of time. 5 months of being nice to my local AD got me what I wanted with no purchase history.

I didn't get the allocation pieces my family wanted by walking in and simply asking for them- and considering what I had to buy beforehand, I'd say I "hit the jackpot." (Sorry, I had to)

There are hundreds, dare I say thousands of watches for sale in Vegas.

No, not Rolex. But there are other brands.

It does help but it probably only helps if you want some off catalogue pieces. Getting a speedmaster and asking for a Hulk is probably pretty difficult. That sales person should not have lied.

AP, PP, RM, JLC all pretty much empty. Was there last weekend. Every store was a waste of time. All games and BS.

In the current environment, Vegas and NYC (let alone Tourneau) are the last places I would go to find inventory without the games.

Um... No.
We have at least 5 ADs within a handful of mile radius... and one out in summerlin.
The shops are empty partially because nothing lasts and potentially sells in mintues... let alone hours.
I have a friend who owns a Breitling and AP store here and he swears the game in town is great.. specially that stupid Breitling brand.
