Recommended UK insurers

Good morning,

I seek advice from those who have found decent, affordable insurance in the UK, please. A recent inheritance means I need to be safe, more than sorry!

Many thanks for your kind help.

Happy New year to you all.

A good, household insurer should be willing to provide comprehensive insurance for your watches, although expect some requirements & stipulations (watches in a secure safe when not worn, burglar alarms, good door-locks, etc)

I have heard good reports of Hiscox and even Marks & Spencer.

T H March is a specialist insurer for the jewellery trade, and they do also offer stand-alone jewellery / watch insurance policies for individuals, but these can be expensive.

Good luck!

I waited till my House and Contents insurance ran out and went with TH March, they can cover it all.

Another recommendation for Marks and Spencer contents insurance. Their Premier Contents includes unlimited contents sum insured, £50k total specified item limit, £15k valuables single item limit.

John Lewis specialist home insurance worked for me. Big bonus for me is coverage whilst wearing high value pieces outside of the house and abroad. Favourable pricing and less conditions vs Hiscox.

I agree!
Used to be with Hisox but M&S Premier is very good as above

Have been with Hiscox in the past and now am with LV. Both will do reasonably high value, you will need a suitably rated safe as well
