Heavier oyster stainless steel bracelet?

I have a "M" series Submariner that I absolutely love, but cannot stand how light the oyster bracelet feels. Do the newer models come with heavier bracelets? Anyone ever gone aftermarket to "solve" this? I am aware that the OEM bracelet has hollow links hence the light weight.

6 digit bracelets are made of all solid links, solid end links and incredibly solid clasp, which on the submariner is a much more robust length and includes Glidelock for small (increments as small as 2mm) to large (up to 20mm) adjustments.

Don’t go aftermarket. Your 5 digit bracelet with hollow center links and stamped clasp are superior to anything you will get aftermarket.

I think some on here have acquired and installed 6 digit brackets on 5 digits watch heads. I haven’t done it, but have seen posts from others who have.

Yes, the newer bracelet has heavier links and a heavier clasp.

Submariner Bracelet ref 97200 : brushed center links (and Glidelock)
GMT Master II Bracelet ref 78200 : polished center links (no Glidelock)
