NEW GMT for BaselWorld ??

Why is this thread closed? I find it strange that anyone would need to wear a test mule for what is effectively the same as an existing model with a dial and bezel insert the same colour as the white gold sub?

For me, I thought it looked like a model from China, but hard to understand why this guy who I have known for years would send me a picture of a fake ?

Should it not be a fake, definitely should be nicknamed the 'Superman' with all that blue and a hit of red :)

It’s a terrible looking shitty fake and a troll post. You don’t need to post it here to find that out. Use some basic deduction and common problem solving skills.

Sorry, I dont know what a troll post is, I was just sharing a photo I received from a friend in Switzerland that works for Rolex.

You dont even know the level of my deductive reasoning or problem solving skills, so why would you personally criticize me ??

It's just a watch forum, and I was just sharing.

Must be fat with no hair, and haven't been laid for a while !!

How do you like that characterization ?

Thought so!

Better go see your shrink soon !

So you thought it was real?
You also thought a guy who “works at rolex” would own, wear, photograph and share said photo with you -risking his job, real or fake?

Brilliant.

No, you dope, I didn't think it was fake or real, I simply shared a photo with other watch enthusiasts, and explained how I came across the photo !

You really need to get a life outside of the keyboard warrior clan.

You didn’t think it was real and you didn’t think it was fake at the same time? Deep.
Why don’t you ask your friend from Rolex about the watch?

You can report back here. I’ll wait.

Done, I am waiting for his response which I will post as soon, as I receive it across the next 48 hours.

Having worked for Apple Computer in their Black Lab in Marin, and in their Shark Tank in Cupertino for the past 27 years (Senior Portables Design Engineer), can tell you that there have been many times when I have had test mules out in the wild with trusted agents, who comment on the properties of the alpha versions, in an effort to harmonize the box to make it "mo betta". Sometimes a picture of the portable escapes into the wild. Most of the time that photo release is intentional. Sometimes accidental.

My logic and reason leads me, after 27 years to think this photo was one of those events.

The picture was of marginal quality due to the strict requirements of this blog for physical size and pixel size, and that is why the depth of numbers on the 24 hour ring looks shallow. On other pictures I have of this watch that have been NOT resized, and made for web, you can definitely see the depth of the numbers on the 24 hour ring.

Before it's all over, you will retract your negative comments about my post, I assure you, although I'm sure eating crow is difficult for a person such as yourself.

And depending on a person's position at Rolex, you may or may not "get fired" for leaking a photo about an upcoming product introduction, IT'S called MARKETING HYPE, and it is done at Apple Computer everyday of the week. Just check the independent Apple blogs a month before a newly released iPhone, there are cases, specs, camera shots, etc - all top secret, but photos abound.:smokin

I assure you, nobody at Apple gets fired over those pictures, because THEY HAVE BEEN APPROVED for release.

Somebody really needs to turn on IQ prior to commenting on this blog, it sure seems like <some> here really get out the flame throwers prior to their need.

People should be able to ask questions of the group, show pictures of what they see, and find, and be able to queery the group without being attacked by leftist liberal watch enthusiasts that <think> they know <everything> about Rolex, especially since they have never even been to the factory, or know anyone who works for Rolex.

I have done both, and my friend who sent me the pictures is a long time employee of the Company, and someone I have personally known for over ten years, so if he is pulling my leg, I will report that, obviously.

I get what you are saying about Apple. I completely agree. I’ve not heard of rolex running the same route, however.

On to the watch. I don’t think any crow will be served.

Start with the bezel insert; there’s no depressions for the numerals. The coronet is off. The white gold surrounds aren’t correct. The printing is off. The endlinks are cheap and ill fitting, hell the hand stack is wrong! The hour hand is too long. You should ask him if they developed another new movement after just releasing the new 3285.

Tick tock.
