Need opinion . . . Best forum ever!

Best forum ever! Thoroughly enjoy everyone's opinions. Just curious about GMT Master II Ceramic SS vs. the GMT Master II Ceramic Two Tone (18k/SS). From researching the forum, I assume the overwhelming opinion is the SS but for some reason the Two Tone nags at me.

Which one "smiles at you," as one wise member writes and why?

Thanks again for the opinions!

Sean, that's a question that only you can answer. It doesn't matter what anybody else here prefers, you're the one who's going to be paying for it and wearing it.

Go to your AD, try both on, and the one that's hardest to give back is your watch.

While I know it's not the most popular choice around here, I love my TT. Get what you like. Don't worry about what anyone else would get.

Get what you like.

Wear both watches and walk around the store. Till you feel, you are comfortable with the watch and then you will truly appreciate the watch you eventually will buy.

I really like them both. For me, the SS is the 'safe' buy, but the TT excites me more. Go with your gut and you'll be happy with your choice.

Your preference is the guiding force. If you want academic advice, the SS will hold it's value better.

But really who cares??? I never sold a watch in my life and love every single one that I have. Think about it as a bond for life. THEREFORE, see point one and forget the academics.

I would go with TT all the way. It just looks better, and IMO, it's pointless to spend thousands of dollars on a watch that doesn't at least have some gold in it!

But, in the end, you should try them both on, look at yourself in a mirror, and then decide which one you think looks best.

Hi

Just joined the site and enjoying it.

I just got a new SS GMT 11 ceramic for my birthday and i'm loving it. It's my first Rolex I just hope I dont get the bug.

I would go ss all the way but that because i'm not into wearing yellow gold.

I was after some advise of my own - I had 2 links removed from the strap - leaving 4 full links on the left side of the strap and 6 full links on the right side + folding link.

Although the watch sits ok slightly pulled forward - the clasp is sitting off centre on my wrist - this is the first time I have had this type clasp on a watch so would you say this is correct or should I get 1 link moved to the other side ie 5 v 5 ?

Looking forward to your views.

Gary

When I bought my SS Sub, I thought, eh the TT would look weird on a 24 year old, but with the price increases and the like I still kick myself for not buying the TT Bluesy for just a bit more money. I say go with the one that you like the best, if it's TT then get it. You won't regret your decision down the line. I made up for my decision by buying my dad a TT Sub for his retirement present (mom pitched in too).

I agree with everyone. You should get what suits you best, and what you'll enjoy. I thought the TT personally was a little too dressy, and I didn't know that I could wear it with any outfit. The SS is what I chose, because I could wear it with almost anything, and since I was spending so much money on a watch, I wanted to wear it as much as possible and enjoy it.

Again, these are the reasons that I got the SS, but you need to follow your own gut.

Good luck!

I'm a SS kind of guy, but I'd switch teams for a TTGMT2c.
