Icon5 scratch on the polished section of gmt2c ss/18k

Morning folks we have alot of posts about polishing but i have a very specific one. ya know on the top of the gmt case, the ss is not polished but on the sides it is. I have some scratches on the side and would like to use simichrome like you suggest but can i on the polished part? and is there any difference on polishing the brushed vs polished ss. I have 18k middle and the scratches drive me crazy but easy to remove it must drive you crazy on the ss model as these would seem to be harder to remove than the gold. Please advise....

Simichrome is fine on the SS part. It will remove the finish on the brushed part.
