Quarantine Watch/SD43

I know I don’t visit as much as I should anymore. Life tends to get in the way these days, what can you do.

I went to take off my SD43 this evening, and put on another - to mix it up. I realized that I haven’t take this watch off my wrist since last year!

What an amazing and versatile piece, that you can wear relatively discrete anywhere. Never mind the fact that it’s gotten me through social distancing, diaper changes, job changes, kids getting older, and a million other things!

Cheers to the SD43 - a classic!

I can't imagine a better daily wear watch. Couldn't be happier I moved on from my Sub Date into the SD43.

Nice watch.

I wore my 16570 for the first three months, then I decided to mix it up a bit and went even more vintage with my Tissot, Omega Deville Seamaster, and Rolex Date (1503) for awhile.
Now, I'm wearing my BLNR. It was a big hit at the car dealership where there were two young WISes on the floor. Neither one had ever seen a BLNR in real life.

Since I know nothing about Explorers, is that white dial one the version that Sir Edmund Hillary wore to summit Everest?

Great post! I’ve had mine now for a couple weeks and have also found myself loving the versatility. I hope the predictions it could be discontinued are wrong, as I appreciate having a larger size reference in the Rolex lineup.

Same here, enjoying this watch alone at home as much as with close circle of friends. Perfection.

Absolutely a classic. I haven’t worn my watches much this year, but the SD43 has ended up getting a disproportionate share of wrist time. It strikes a great balance by being rugged and down to earth, but still a watch that can be worn with a suit or (more common these days) biz casual.

I’m the opposite, I have too much time on my hands these days (pun intended) so spend far too much time on this forum, great watch BTW.

No! That watch can be found but it wasn't called an Explorer; it was called an Oyster Perpetual!!!
