Green Incoming
I own a OG Kermit so I wasn’t interested in the ceramic one. I was invited to view all the new models and was impressed with the overall presentation and the VIP treatment. While viewing, I expressed interest in the Coral Red OP, and the manager stated he will put me down for one. I then picked out a 31 DJ that I would want to get for my mom. And he said he would call me when they get one. So I got the impression that none of these watches were in stock and it was just a viewing event.
They saved the subs for last and when the green one came out I was impressed. I’ve turned down the Hulk in the past because the green never did anything for me. And as I stated because I own the original Kermit I thought the ceramic one would be too similar. He asked me if any of the subs interested me, and I told him that surprisingly, I’m interested in the green one. So I asked him to let me know when one becomes available for sale, and he said OK and he thanked me for coming and he said they have some gifts for me. He went to the back and came out with a bag full of goodies and a green sub on a tray. I was completely caught off guard. This was different from other watch purchases because I usually get a call letting me know that xxx is available if I am interested. Nice to hear about unicorn purchasing experiences like this, as you say "like the good old days". Neat to have the original Kermit, and new Cermit as well. Say what you want, and protest if you must, but a Hulk would round it out!
