Hi Omega Guys

I need I bit of help

I have this Speedmaster Apollo XI

Number on movement puts it to 1985 as far I can tell, But I can't find any reference number. I read that it usually are on the 12 o'clock lug, but can't see anything.

It has a number on the back crystal bezel. "A 0833"
What does this tell..

Please let me know what I have here, or what I don't have..

It has a 808 bracelet fitted on it.

I Can see Thats exactly right.
I think it’s hard to tell with so many different reference and production runs this watch has.

Just to hear your opinion. Where would you put this ref collector wise? Good, bad, middle?

And what do you think this is worth?

I think it's one of the nicer ones to have.
1. It's has nice yellow colored 863 movement. Current model 1863 isn't in this golden color anymore.
2. It's numbered, only 1000pcs if I'm not mistaken.
3. It has desirable tritium "patina" dial with nice yellow shade. Also the long 'r' in Speedmaste'r' exist only in these ealier ones. The 1990s and later ones have modern short 'r'.
Also the bracelet is great.
Btw I think yours would be around +-1989 if the movement is 48251064 (estimated through ilovemyspeedmaster.com)
For value, most recent private sale I could find is this one for EUR 5300 https://omegaforums.net/threads/omeg...-a0xxx.121652/

I base my opinion that it’s a 85 edition on this. 48 mill, should be 85, right?

I think that chart is not entirely accurate. If you look further down they have different ranges for Speedmaster and your 48m would be put into 1990.
ilovemyspeedmaster.com uses Omega Extracts data to predict. More accurate.
If you want the exact date down to the day and month on yours, you could order an Extract of Archives too from Omega. They will also print out the delivery country to which your watch was sent to back in the day.

You are probably right..

The first article you referred to says that the 435.0808 only ran from 1985-1988.?

Rolex are a bit easier to date 😄

But as you say, I can get an extract of the archives .

True. If you want precise info, extract of archives would be best.
