Read that yesterday. Very odd way for a brand to behave and as you say that combined with the other questionable things they have done is making it hard for me to like them right now.

That’s a shame! I was looking to buy my first panerai. I don’t know if I would be doing so given all that fuss and poor decisions as well as cutting corners the brand has been doing!
You’d imagine that at that price point they’d have more credibility What still boggles my mind is that Richmont continues to do well with other brands, so why Panerai specifically??

Meh, same guy with a axe to grind against Panerai.
Shocking that a marketing dept might use a free stand-in doubles on social media... Is this guy really that naïve how the world works? Models are air brushed and super imposed in places they never were. Its marketing. It’s not like the company is actually selling the knockoff watches. This whole article is about he is irritated he’s not taking more serious from the actual company. He also believes Instagram is a fair open forum for free discussion. Recent political events have shown that these social media platforms are anything but fair and balanced as they get to control the content. These social media platforms are a business nothing more. Say something they don’t like or will affect their business you will get bounced. |

Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps they didnt care as long as they were getting free exposure. They were not actually selling fake watches and might consider these social media platforms not as stringent as they are with their direct website. There is a whole host of reasons why they might not police these kinds of media platforms. The author is just pissed Panerai didnt take him seriously. Then when he dint go away after being thanked, he became a pebble in their shoe and then he lost his account. Obviously he is lashing out to anyone that will listen.

Wasn’t there a guy here posting his fakes as real here?
And everyone used to drool over his bronzo... Whatever happened to him? Fake panerai is a real issue and I am not a fan of the direction panerai is heading, regardless of the article.

Panerai counterfeits have been a problem for a over a decade and they are outstanding in their levels of detail. Shockingly good. This is why even the full box sets are scrutinized to their last detail.

Always buy what you like but if you want a stable asset always buy the top brands like Rolex patek, Ap etc.

I don’t understand why some attempt to discredit these resources. They aren’t attacking or talking about the product itself. They actually happen to love Panerai watches and their problem is with the administration of the product. It may be a vendetta if you want to say that but they’re approaching topics repeatedly because the issues are not getting any type of feedback.
Personally as a Panerai fan I appreciate these guys and what they bring to the table. I think they are actually trying to help the brand versus attacking the brand because again, they like the product, what they don’t like is the failed representation of that product from the top. |

The level of pettiness and snarkiness that these two exhibit it the article undermines what little credibility they might actually have. And quotes like this, “I know for a fact that this scandal reached the highest echelons of Richemont in Geneva and certain people had to answer some questions,” are positively juvenile. These bloggers really really super-duper want to be journalists but should probably take a few more classes.
