Thanks Jen...Any pics of your collection I could check out? =)
A little story about my collection: The watch that started it all for me was my Charriol which I purchased duty free on a trip to Negril, Jamaica. I negotiated it down to $800 from a (at that time) price tag of about $1850 here in the states. That was the one that started it all as I like to say. After that came my Baume and Mercier Capeland with leather band. It was a nice, classy piece that I only ever wore when I was wearing a suit. Since I didn't do that too often, I flipped that one and used that money to help with purchasing my SS Airking with engine turned bezel. I had that one for a while and then eventually ran into some rough times when I needed money and had to sell it. After that I picked up a TT DJ, Oyster Band with original factory diamond dial from around the early to mid 80's. Gosh I loved that watch and I got it for a ridiculous price. I ended up flipping it to someone who offered me more then twice what I had paid for it! I still miss it and am still kicking myself to this day!! I bought my Breitling from a friend of mine who was the original owner and hardly ever wore it for a great price also! Ever since I was in middle school I remember wanting a watch like my dad's. He had a SS Sub with date. It was the watch that I had always wanted...so you could imagine when it finally came time and I was able to afford one what a joy it was for me to have it. I have flipped that SS sub watch since then and now came across a great deal on my SD and I guess that about does it for my collection for now =) What's next? hmmmmm I'm thinking SS/PL YM!!!! Which 2 Breitling models to do own? |
