Any suggestions for servicing a vintage watch?

My Pepsi GMT 1675 was off my wrist for much of the past year and now it makes a wierd almost whirring noise with sudden movements of my wrist. It hasn't been serviced since I bought it 6 years ago so I'm sure it's time for that. Any recent service experiences to recommend? I see that the Ridleys -- father and son -- have been recommended in the past.
thanks.
