Full Gold Oyster Perpetual 34mm Full Set
This is about the perfect watch for me. A 1012 36mm would be nicer but impossible to find anytime soon. Any thoughts on this potential purchase? Main problem is the band size which needs to be over 8" to fit. Dealer says extra links from Rolex are over $600 each.

I'd wait and get what you really want, frankly. And while I can just about get away with 34mm on my 7.5" wrist, have you tried on a 34 yourself? The only 34 I wear is a 6694, which due to the cyclops wears slightly larger than otherwise. A no-cyclops 34 might look too small.
Or post a WTB ad on this forum. While some of us are on the wrong side of the border for an easy sale, I betcha there's someone somewhere in the USA that has one of these and will sell it to you. Good luck eh |

Thanks so much for that. I am wearing a 34mm gold shell 1550 all the time. I am a very senior citizen so the tiny watches are what I grew up with. I also have a 124060 from the first month of production. So that covers big. The gold watch would be for dinner parties and social events.
