New model event & is aquanaut purchase actually possible

After thinking I was only a rolex only guy as that's all my parents have ever owned and I've craved, I got invited to the Patek event by my AD. I absolutely loved the aquanaut on my wrist and had to put my name down for a 5168G-010 which I was told will be something to look forward to in the future.

Am I actually likely to get one do you reckon?

Here's a pic of the new 5968G-010

Congratulations on your choice and yes I believe you will get one in a reasonable time period. Keep in touch with your AD.

Thank you, i can't believe how much I loved the new one once it was on my wrist, but I can't spend 50k on a watch

I said the same thing about six years ago when I passed up on a blue 5980 for $40k.

I think these are going to be incredibly hard to get. Long term relationships, bundling, trading organs etc.

A buddy told me he expects these to for for near to 200k (gray) initially, and then settle down to 150ish.

Sounds about right of you ask me.

Personally, love the look, don’t like a butterfly clasp. Which is good, because I’m mot likely to ever get my hands on one of these anyway.

My SA said around the same sort of figures, going to be very rare apparently.

Personally I don’t see why the pm pieces will command such a premium, supply will not be as limited as the SS piece but only time will tell. Great looking pieces.

The OP must have a good relationship with the AD already to be invited to the event and I am sure if it is not possible, the SA would not even take his name

Good luck and your patience will pay off

I’m curious to know if the only the last batch of new releases are being offered. Did they offer any of the new Nautilus, I will be going to the event soon myself.

Pretty much the watches were all in the cases, when my SA sat me down he asked what I wanted to see. Green and the white with rose gold and diamonds I asked for. My wife tried the rose gold but was not interested. She didn't even like the green on me, she didn't understand and still doesn't

But I only went there knowing I wanted to see and try on the green
