Oyster Perpetual 41 Bright Blue Deposit

Hi all,

placed a deposit for an OP41 in blue with an AD in the SoCal area. For those who have placed a deposit, how long did you wait to get the call? The salesperson told me 3-6 months but I would assume it may be less than that. Honestly, I was surprised they were even taking deposits for any OP. Can't wait to get the call!!!

My AD has said for deposits, they expect 2-4 months delivery. And deposit is 50% fully refundable.

Not bad, was trying to get the more colorful dials but they said they can't take orders on it. Hopefully, it comes in sooner than expected

I think I know which AD you are talking about, thinking of doing the same for a blue Milgauss. Just afraid that other ADs gives me a call then my deposit is kind of stuck with them.. hopefully you get yours soon! Keep us updated.

Good for you. The OP is a cool watch and the Turquoise or Coral are the colors I like.

Why would ADs require a deposit on a model they will have no problem at all selling?

Seems shady to me

Is there a point when the deposit becomes fully refundable--say 12 months later and still no watch, can you get your money back?

Sounds like, for the bright blue, they were actually able to place an order for the OP (vs. just putting a deposit down on first one to come in on its own). Even though they'd have no problem selling, I think it shows a level of commitment and makes it less likely that the same person is trying to place orders with six different dealers and then taking the one to come in first.

My understanding is that ADs had a small window to place orders on the current OP line. At least that’s what I was told...

Is this the turquoise or the traditional blue dial?

I paid up front for the torquise to a large grey dealer
One week later they returned the money and said they are beyond impossible to get
