Another AD Visit, some big news!!!

Visited Long's Jewelers in Burlington, Mass today, such a spacious store, lots of sq. footage devoted to jewelry, not as much to watches as I expected.

The Rolex section wasn't terribly impressive, barren cases, as was expected.

Spoke with a SA who was assisting my friend with a Breitling purchase, he mentioned that Long's is converting one of their Boston locations to a Patek boutique, coming soon.

FYI,
Not converting an existing store, they are opening another storefront on Newbury St. for this......
And not the Rolex boutique, a second Newbury St. storefront.

Well Patek aint Rolex. Sure, you wont find SS Pateks, but plenty of other ones always sitting around.

Wow, very interesting. I’m a long time Long’s customer and waiting on a couple of pieces, but was not aware of this. My SA is on paternity leave so haven’t had a chance to chat with him lately…

Patek is not a high volume brand compared to Rolex. Long's need the Rolex boutique to be able to sustain the Patek boutique.

I was at the Burlington store yesterday (my 16233 mainspring broke, even felt it snap, and I was bringing in for service) and the platinum DD was amazing. The only thing missing was the blue dial.

I’m glad longs is opening the Patek boutique in Boston. Tourneau needs the competition.
