Cost of replacing crystal

Hi guys, anyone know how much it costs to replace sapphire crystal on a sport model? It’s my 5 series Explorer II, and have had really bad luck with it…

The crystal itself is a couple of hundred bucks.

The labor will vary from a simple replacement to a need for a full service, depending on who you go to.

Two weeks ago I was quoted $250, which included labor, to replace a GMT II 16710 crystal. This was from a reputable watchmaker with a Rolex parts account and included a genuine Rolex crystal..

This is super useful information. Thank you both of you. I plan to go the same route and prefer not to go to RSC for this one because they will suggest all types of services that could add thousands…had bad experience previously.

They won’t replace crystal without service.

RSC won’t replace without service. Find a good local watchmaker with a Rolex account.

Do you really want broken crystal residue in your movement.
Do it properly or not at all.
