Watch Winder Rotation Settings for Caliber 3285?

Wondering if 1300 rotations per day (alternating directions) would still hold true, can't find any online reference for this. Thanks!

Here is the same answer I gave in your imbedded question on another thread.

That is way too much.

A winder does not actually "wind" the watch, it simply keeps it at a constant stare of wind.

The new movements do have a higher power reserve, but they still use the same amount of power per day as they always have, so there is no need to use a different setting.

Rolex movements stay wound on a winder or on your wrist at ~650 turns per day.

How did you find out 650 TPD was the sweet spot? I can't find any official Rolex or technical deliberation on this topic.

There's plenty of evidence from the past that 650 TPD works for the older 30xx and 31xx calibres which has been verified to carry over to the 32xx.
Try it for yourself at that setting and report back if it doesn't work out for you so that you can add to the knowledge base for the collective.
Alternately you may wish to experiment with different settings to find out for yourself. It's not like your watch is a grand complication, so what's the worst that can happen?

Not personally certain as to why anyone needs a watch winder. Winding and setting takes so little work. I frankly believe it's better to let it stop and rest when not in use. If one really hates winding then just hack it and reset when ready to wear it.

Have to agree unless you have a watch with many complications or lost the use of your fingers so cannot manual wind these so called watch winders a waste of money.

It's Christmas and I just received it as a gift from my family - just being grateful and trying to learn how to optimally use it...

Well as a Rolex can't be over wound go for an aggressive winding setting. Congratulations on having some thoughtful to give you a nice gift.

I have mine in a winder so I can just grab and go, google TPD database and all TPD rotation questions will be answered.

They both seem to say 650 bidirectional for most if not all models. Do you happen to use 650 bidrectional as well for yours (I do see in the photo 650 TPD, just confirming)?

Yep and all keep great time, up it to 800-950 for my chrono’s.

Awesome, I was gifted the Swiss Kubik Masterbox so it's TPD are only in increments of 20. I set it to 660 TPD Alternate (bidirectional).
