Golf Simulator

Friends,

Does anyone have a golf simulator in your home? If so, any recommendations on what company to use? Thanks.

My wife's uncle homemade driving-range in Japan. No need for a sim.

I’ve used the GC quad at a buddies house, it’s really solid. The top is certainly trackman but pricing it a bit absurd. GC quad had a really cool thing where you could play tons of courses. He had our club loaded along with hundreds of others. It was similar to trackman with spin, ball speed, swing speed and all that good stuff. No need for dots on the balls, and it rarely seemed to have issues. The numbers it pumped out seemed to be in line with my normal numbers.

I've been looking as well. Golf Digest ranks Full Swing among the top. As with everything, it comes down to how much you want to spend and how serious you want to get. I'm looking to transform an existing media room/theatre into a dual purpose golf simulator/theatre and I'm pretty focused on the overall look and entertainment space of the room. At this point, I've only seen the videos etc. Definitely lots of cheaper options.

Foresight GC quad for indoors track Ann is great I’ve worked with it for over 10 years but for indoor tracking camera based is more accurate than Doppler radar now that being said TMAN is making great ways of bettering their tracking for indoor golf.

I think the most important thing to consider is what you want to do with it. If you’re trying out lots of shafts per year, something a bit more expensive is likely needed. Smash factor, spin rates, side spin, accurate swing speed and carry distance, attack rate, etc. all of that is super important. If you want something you can beat balls with and play courses, i think you can get something very reasonably priced.

My only suggestion is finding one that does not require dots on the ball to track it. That’s a total pain in the rear and they do fall off and get beat up very quickly.

I’m subscribing to this thread because at some point TRF members are going to show us some insane set-ups!!

OP please keep us updated on what you decide. I can’t think of anything better to have at home when done properly.

I’ve only ever used Trackman which works flawlessly but as others have said - price is ridiculous.

My friend cobbled one together at his house a few months ago. Since he started using it, his game on the course has gone to hell.

I used to beat him about 1/3 of the time, now it's more like 3/4 of the time. I hope he keeps using his simulator daily!

If you’re interested in Foresight Sports (GC3, GCQuad, or GCHawk) shoot me a PM.
