Evaluating a 6420 Speed King

I wanted to see other's thoughts on the following 6420.

A 6420 is a Speed King so I believe the dial should say Speed King and also should say precision.

I believe this is a redial.

I do see alot of different flaws that show a journy in life and its age.

Aside of that looks it looks like it could be the basis of nice lower priced watch.

What would be the specs and sizing of the correct oyster bracelet would be original?

Peter

If you like it, I would say go for it. The dial looks nice and clean, which these days I honestly prefer on a vintage watch.

Doesn't look like other 6420's I see on the web.
Certainly a redial along with different hands than I've seen...

The dial is later and not for a Speedking but from another model which uses the same movement.
The crown has been replaced with a modern service crown, the case has some pitting in the gasket valley and that movement has either been exposed to high heat or had surface rust removed from it.
IMO, it would have to be pretty cheap. It is a really small watch and out of favor with collectors today and would need some decent service work. Plus, there is no bracelet so you are only buying a watch head. I guess it comes down to price. As is, I personally wouldnt pay anymore than maybe $1500 max

Resurrecting this thread, that dial is almost identical to the one I have flagged up in my recent thread, with the exception that mine is T-Swiss-T and says Precision on it, but with no Speedking
