That's a hard to source model. I read somewhere they are having production issues with that dial which means fewer produced.

I also heard production issues/ that being difficult to source (I waited a while to acquire it last year), and that dial is one of the nicest out there

AL&S are actually low supply watches across the board. If they get too popular availability will be zero for some time.

I believe they only made like 3500 watches last year due to covid so you know, low production and high demand kinda drives up prices. Plus they make extraordinary pieces that have been undervalued for quite a long time.

I'm going to jump back on. Saxonia didn't cut it for me though. Gold plated brass rotor and unfinished media blast under the movement rubbed me the wrong way

Maybe a datograph next time. What are you rocking today? I'd never take off those VCs of yours.

They have been saying this, anyone that looks at one is completely mesmerized by the dial. The strap could be darker though, on site it's shown as navy, but more of a pure blue irl, I have a black strap on order

I have mine on a matte black strap, too. It really does look much better that way.

This aventurine dial is special. Personal preference in wanting a second hand but I can see why these are starting to trade above list.

For anyone who likes this dial (like I do), the Little Lange 1 Moonphase version (182.086) is absolutely stunning. So is its cousin, the rose gold version (182.030) with a very different dial and look. Case diameter for these is 36.8mm, though, so many men don't consider them. Here's a photo from Deployant -- and the rose gold version looks much better on a dark blue or black strap than on this white one:

The majority of Lange models still trade at a significant discount to retail price if I'm not mistaken, no?

Not anymore. Supply is drying up. On the phone with Miami Boutique today, they have only a fraction of their normal stock levels. With production of less then 5k per year it doesn't take much for everything to get bought up

I have been told similar things by the boutique that I deal with, but that still doesn’t really seem to be converting to the secondary market yet. But I could be wrong, I’m really not very in tune with the secondary Lange market, just going off anecdotal evidence of a few watches popping up for sale here and there.

I feel like the price off all pieces is going up, and Lange is no different. But there could very well be a big disconnect between the ask and sold prices. For example, the pretty basic 36mm 1815 small seconds seems to be listed for a lot more than it used to be a few months ago — closer or higher than the 40mm — some probably higher by a bit than the original MSRP. When I got my 40mm there was a pretty big gap in price between the two.

Used prices are definitely firming up on ALS and I think they will stay there, because production is relatively small, quality is very high, they're amazing watches, and they're finally starting to be appreciated by more people. If they become more popular, retail will be a steal, just like FPJ and Rolex. My Lange boutique was formerly fully stocked and now they have only a few watches. They've also eliminated almost all their ADs, so I think they'll definitely be boutique only like FPJ and AP in a year or so. That means used prices will likely stay around MSRP or more for some.

Nice! heard numbers like that; but not from CEO!

Was that in a public forum or WAW?

The question though is when it moves back to 5500 where is the supply demand balance then?

He mentioned @ Watches & Wonders and may change once the pandemic situation improves but expect low production numbers for this year.

Totally makes sense since Germany as a country has been hit pretty hard by the new vivid variant this year.

In the CEO/Revelutionn magazine interview he restates the 5500 number with respect to the limited supply of the Titanium Odysseus.

He also mentioned lack of watchmakers so it will take time to train enough to really impact supply…

I mean they are still delivering watches so that's good! All the manufacturers are complaining of a lack of watchmakers...they keep poaching them all around the marketplace apparently...
