Bucherer/Tourneau KOP

Has any forum member been to this store recently in the King of Prussia mall? My wife and I are going down Saturday to go shopping for the day. Just wondering if they have their cases full with the exhibition models, or are the cases empty?

My watch buddy visits there regularly. Good selection - outside of Rolex - and friendy most of the time.

Some exhibition models. However, my experience with the staff is very disappointing. YMMV.

Some exhibitions, and some are displayed like museum pieces, so not sure if they're available to try on. Staff seemed pretty disinterested the last time I was in there. It feels like the new space is too large - there was much more interaction in the prior space.

I’ve learned with Torneua it’s very hit or miss on the experience there. I’ve bought 3 watches from them and still get variable service

Was just there the other day. Rolex stock is the same no matter where you go. It doesn’t exist, so don’t let your first question go to the obvious answer you don’t want to hear. And yes, they have a good amount of exhibition models - same as most others. The store itself is beautiful. The staff are also very nice, again, as long as your first question isn’t “do you have a Daytona in the back?”

Rolex square footage has basically filled out the old footprint, while the rest of the showcases expand into two other sections - again, magnificent. Preowned selection is decent, but if you’re looking at new IWC, Panerai, Blancpain, Bucherer, etc. you’ll be surprised how much they actually have in stock.

Thanks for the info guys. I kind of like the two tone rose gold wimbledon rolex datejust 41 and I like the new Datejust 41 with the new green dial. I want to see if I get on some waitlist for either piece.

MY wife wants the new datejust 31 with blue floral diamond motif.

We'll see how it goes. I'll update the board Sunday.

Tony

Good Luck

Of course limited stock/availability. Patrick is just a fantastic guy. A wealth of knowledge and extremely patient. So if you are lucky enough to chat with him can almost guarantee you will enjoy it.

Stopped by today with my wife. The store was kinda quiet. They did have 3 cases on the wall of preowned Rolex models…prices were kinda high in my opinion. Example - 2012 Rolex Sub 40mm all yellow gold with blue dial $52k

I was able to try on a GMT root beer two tone, and also a two tone rose gold Wimbledon 41mm datejust. I really liked both of these two references.

My wife tried on a 31mm date just with a mint green dial. I really liked the color of this dial, and I assumed this is the same mint green color that’s on the new 2022 datejust release.

We were able to register our interest for these references. The SA said to be patient. We shall see. I had my blue Skydweller on, so at least it allowed us to have a nice conversation about watches, and didn’t make me out to be a flipper. Fingers crossed on my selected watched I registered for.

My experience is that they want you to be a client first ie buy a non-Rolex watch first. Otherwise its mostly lip service. They have so much foot traffick the cards they have everyone fill out are mountains high ( i've seen a daily stack lol).

Best of luck but I wouldn't hold my breath unless you buy something else first.

I'm not too optimistic. I sent a follow up email to the SA asking for her cell phone number, and thanking her for the time she spent with us. Her cell phone wasn't on the business card she gave us. I never got a response.

I'm going down in a few weeks, and I'm going to inquire about changing my cell phone number. I'm going to see if they even entered anything into their system. We shall see. I'll post about my experience.

I live in the area so usually pop in there when I happen to be in the mall, usually go in to see what's new, etc. Purchased my Airking there in Dec'20. Their cases are full with anything but Rolex, but have a good selection of exhibition models to try on. There are some good SA's in there that are very knowledgeable, but they are legacy from when the store was Tourneau (before the renovation and rebrand). They actually know about the products and will have conversations and are helpful. Sadly with the expansion to the larger store, they are filling it with SA's that have no knowledge of the products (new or otherwise). For instance, when the Pelagos FXD came out, I asked if they had one "yes" and a standard black pelagos was presented. For some reason it was back in the safe, no idea why. Also, you will routinely get the question "what's your name and have you purchased here before" from the newer SA's. I guess they don't want to do their job or you may waste their precious time.

I was there about a month ago. Decent selection of exhibition models but the SA wouldn't even let my wife try on a exhibition DJ and rather rudely told us to go to the used rolex section to be helped. Was also told point blank that they wouldn't even take my contact info for a waitlist unless I have previously purchased several watches there.

Used rolex selection was decent, I tried on a nice 114060 but wasn't interested in the $14k price tag. That said it is probably a decent place to buy a IWC or Tudor. There's also an Omega and Breitling boutique across the hall, so not a bad trip to take to look at some watches.

there are some exhibitions in the display case, like half full.

check out the pre-owned section, it has basically every watch in the rolex lineup for at least 2x of the msrp

By chance, has any board member dealt with the SA named Chantel at this location?
