NOT A REPLICA... its a SALESMANS SAMPLE !!!
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...250284768.html
Brand new in Box, Never Worn! Please call me at work: 1 800 552 1776. My uncle is a Jeweler in Antwerp, Belgium. He sent me this incredibly accurate fine quality timepiece. In Europe it is common practice for jewelers who do home showings to carry these super high quality Jewelers Sample watches in their showcases in order to avoid the cost and risk of carrying Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of expensive brand name watches around with them when they go out to see customers. Here in the USA, a new Stainless and Gold Grey face Rolex Daytona would cost about $15,000 in a local jewelry store and around $12,000 online, depending on the seller. Please don't confuse this watch with a "Replica" or "Fake" watch which can be found around town or on the internet. These "replicas" feature inaccurate details, functions, components and markings which expose them as fakes to anyone with even a casual knowledge of fine watches. With one of these cheap "fakes" (made in China, costing the wholesaler $14 to $49 and selling here for $50 to $300) you have to be nervous anytime anyone notices and comments on your watch! This watch is a perfect museum quality reproduction of this fine watch which features incredible attention to the details in manufacture and function. It has a Genuine Automatic movement which captures and stores movement from your arm in order to power the watch. The Second Hands move around the dial with the same smooth sweep motion found on the original! All of the functions, including all of the chronograph functions are fully functional; exactly as on the original. I myself have been studying fine watches for over twenty years. I took this watch in to a local jeweler experienced with fine watches and asked him to authenticate it. He examined it carefully with his magnifier for over a minute; puzzling over the detail and manufacture of this watch. After asking if he could open the back with a special tool used only for this type of watch, he examined the movement and finally said that, No, this watch was not authentic. He then asked me where I got it and remarked that it was “…scary”. Please note the crown, Bezel and the mid-links on the band are heavy gold wrapped and Not Solid Gold. You can wear this watch with confidence and pride anywhere. The photo of the watch inside the included natural wood watch case is of the watch I have. I apologize as I am not a good photographer. The other (better) photo is of a Gray Face Stainless and Gold Daytona I found online so you could see the detail. The watch I have looks in person every bit as good as the best photo! I have only one. I can not get another. Please email me if you are interested in learning more about this fine watch. I would be happy to arrange a meeting in a place of your choosing in order for you to examine it. This posting is neither an offer to sell, nor is it a solicitation of an offer to buy, any watch or other item of Jewelry. |
