15202BA yellow Gold

hi everyone,

i am in the market of a full gold watch. i have been trying both the PP 5711R and the AP 15202BA in yellow gold, and i think i am liking the AP.

anyone has an idea what a fair price now to pay for those in the secondary market? the price on Chrono is so wide, so if anyone has a bit of a more accurate price that i should negotiate on, i would highly appreciate it.

thanks.

Can't help with the price, but couldn't agree more with your choice - tried one a few weeks ago and moved it to the top of my far-future AP wishlist (also tried the 16202OR, thought the BA was far more interesting/unique).

Good luck with negotiations! Definitely doesn't look they are moving quickly at the C24 asking prices (the low end, $320k or so; $600k+ must be some joke I'm not getting).

15202BA yellow Gold

Back when I bought my 15202OR, I was also looking at the 5711/1R. I had both side by side, and it was an easy decision for me. Love the AP gold jumbo. Take a look at the rose version before you make your final decision.

A tiny crown and no quickset date is the only flaw.

I suggest you go try it on. Why? Not sure if you own any gold watches but it's going to be heavier than stainless. Wish you best luck with your journey.

Are you suggesting we take a look at rose gold bc it might not be as good as people say? Or bc it is better in person versus online ?

As compared to yellow. Some rose is pretty pink. I really don’t care for Rolex' everrose. AP's is unique and amazing.

Another vote for the 15202OR, AP RG is sublime and the best in the watch business, not too pink and looks great brushed. If you went BA, I would suggest the green hour glass edition, I'm not a YG fan but that one is perfect.

That YG/green combo is as sexy as the RG/blue is classic. I don’t think you could go wrong with either.

I'd approach the lowest seller and offer 20% less. It will still be a lot, but if you are asking then you can afford it

I always preferred PM (YG, RG, WG and Platinum) over SS.

Go for it and never look back.

Completely agree. I keep a couple SS around for low profile and risky times (beach, diving, etc). Otherwise, the focus of my collection went full PM after the first.
