My stingy dad NOT fixing inaccurate DJ
I just learned that my stingy dad has been saving money by NOT fixing his datejust which shows -5 mins/week.
Is it possible to permanently damage by not fixing this kind of accuracy issue? |

That problem is very possibly just a simple demagnification which most watch makers would do for free. generally it will cause one to run fast but it can cause one to slow up or even stop.

It will be demagnified to the point where you can't read the time, solving the problem. |

If he is happy with his DJ and doesn't want to get it regulated, then you should be happy too! If he hands it over to you someday, then you can get it serviced and it will be good as new!

Thanks Guys,
The datejust was his dream watch, and he deserves the accuracy. I'll give it to him this coming Christmas. |

After wearing the watch your dad should simply put it back into the watch winder for 2,015 days and it'll be accurate to the minute again ..
