What should I do with my 116710LN?
It's gotten almost zero wrist time since I got the BLNR and BLRO. And I purchased it preowned, so doesn't have any special sentimental history or anything.
I don't need to sell it for money, but otoh I am the type that hates having any sum of money tied up in things I don't wear/use. Since I don't foresee wearing it much in the near term no matter what, I am contemplating two very different options. One is to just sell. The other is to get it freshly serviced by RSC and then I just put it away in a safe. I'm not really into "investment" watches and I doubt the LN qualifies, but it is kind of neat that it was the first SS ceramic GMT and now discontinued. So maybe keep it around and see what happens... |

Keep it, send it off to a reputable independent watch maker or R themselves.

Why not just keep it, but don't have it serviced (unless it needs it?)?

On the "sell" side: - Gets zero wrist time. - No sentimental value. - Hate having money tied up in things you don't use. - Not into investment watches. - Doubts it will qualify as an "investment" anyway. On the "keep" side: - Don't need the money. - Neat that it was the first SS ceramic GMT and discontinued. That looks like a clear 5/2 victory for selling it to me.

If no reason to sell or service just keep it. It is a cool watch and one that I do not see often.

Sell it. At this point It's just clutter, with a sum of money tied to it. Release the funds towards something useful to you.

If you do not really need the money or you are not going to use it in another investment, keep it. Don’t you consider to sell it and buying another quite different timepiece?

I am unable to keep a watch that I'm not wearing. Sell it.

If you don’t wear it and you’re not into “investment watches”, sell it

Indeed. Unless it's too low cost to hassle with a sale.

I'd keep it. I have one and don't wear it much, however every time I look at it it becomes the perfect watch. Such a classic.

I think the same way, would definitely sell. BLNR > LN and will always be.

Keep it; you'll have a reliable 3186 movement to wear when both your BLNR and BLRO are in for warranty service on their 3285 movements.

I'd consider servicing it and putting it in the safe for 6 months upon it's return. If you still feel the same way, sell it. It will be easier to sell with the fresh service.

Idea:
Give it to me, and I'll get you a tax receipt from our 501c3. It's a win, win. That's the best GMT, according to my opinion. |

I’d sell it. No point in keeping it if you’re not wearing or enjoying owning it.

I'm not inclined towards keeping something I never use but I rotate all my watches, so they all get out and about - some more than others. If I stopped wearing a particular watch, tried to rebond with it and failed, I would sell it or give it to a family member. It wouldn't be any use to me. |

Spice up the LN by changing to a Sprite (green/black) bezel!

Easy. You don’t wear it and you don’t need the money for anything else. Sell it and buy something you might wear!
