Winding Problem
I have a 214570 which is about 5 years old. Purchased new. I went to wind it this morning after about 2 weeks of not wearing it. The crown seems much harder to turn than typical with a lot of resistance. Not smooth at all. I’m guessing I’ll need to send to RSC, but wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what may be the issue?
Thank you |

There’s no helpful answer that anybody can give without inspecting the watch.
But for your curiosity, the most likely causes will be: a knock/drop, worn parts, drying/migrating lubricant. |

And this happens immediately upon winding a watch with no power? What you're describing is how it feels when it's topped off. Does the time setting and date setting feel weird too? I'd manipulate the crown in and out a bit and see if you can find better engagement. It sure sounds like it's going to have to go to Rolex service center.

Crown wheel and or winding pinion has broken tooth/teeth and will need replacement.
