Do you use your easy link/glidelock?

Fellas,

Happy Saturday everyone.

Am I the only one who find the easy link to be too much?
When I feel like my wrist is tighter, I sometimes try to unleash the easylink but it always end up being too loose after a couple of second and I bring it back.

I never wore a sub with a glidelock but I assume it would be a bit more precise.


Do you find your easylink/glidelock effective?

I prefer glidelock for more fine adjustments but the easy link will have to do otherwise. In the summer or warmer weather, I just wear mine on the looser side with the easy link extended.

To me, the second Easylink setting is too much of a difference. I never use it.

The Glidelock on the other hand is fantastic. I use it frequently.

I use the easylink. The climate where I live and be in the 30sF in the winter and over 100F in the summer so having some sort of easy adjustment on a bracelet is important to me. I often wear my non-Rolex watches on Erika‘s MN straps, which are easily adjustable.

Having said that, having more microadjustment would be better.

I use the glidelock. It’s pretty essential to get a good fit with the sub-c imo..

I use the Easy Link. I like to wear my watches a bit tight, but the Easy Link is helpful when I’ve got to be outside in the heat for a while. I’d guess that my closed setting would be too tight for most folks, but the open setting would fit fine. That’s probably why the wide range works for me. That being said, I’ve never owned a Glide Lock but it looks like a great improvement.

Use it all the time on my Daytonas. Perhaps a little loose when I let it out, but definitely a great option with weather changes, especially at night.

I fitted my 16710 GMT II with a Glidelock clasp and the more ganuler adjustment has made a significant positive difference to me.

Summertime in the Southern US means I use my glidelock usually 2-3 times a day. I have/ had watches with the easy link and had the same problem. It’s just too much being 5mm. If it was say 3mm it would be perfect but I always find it loosey goosey

My easy link is in the extended position, for the Summer, on my brand new OP. I also felt like I needed the bracelet just a little looser, so moved the micro adjust one slot. I have one link off of each side of the bracelet. It was too big with only one removed.

P.S. It’s going to be 108 degrees F here in Northern CA, today. I hope it cools down, for our 4th of July barbecue, on Tuesday.

Used glidelock to get a good original fit. Haven’t adjusted it in over 7 years in temps from -30 to 100 F. Guess I don’t swell or shrink much.

Daily for me, I tend to use the easy link more than the glide lock. The latter I find a bit cumbersome.

Easy link, no. It’s pretty much useless for me. I prefer those little holes on the clasp of the old bracelets.

I have one watch with the Glidelock and two with Easy Link. When I lived in New England, I pretty much had the fit dialed in, as best as I could with Glidelock being superior to Easy Link. Now that I am living in South Carolina with much higher temps and humidity, I use both adjustments much more. Once I am outside for a period of time, I am adjusting.

Once fitted properly, I hardly ever adjust them. In truth I find the Glide Lock clasp too large.

I use the easy link pretty regularly, particularly on hot days saltwater fly fishing in tropical environments or when I sleep with my watch on.

I've never had glidelock, but I'm so indecisive that part of me wonders if I'd fiddle with it more than necessary....

Use Glidelock all the time in summer. Sweaty wrist-adjust. Omega system probably marginally better but I very much like them both.
