Tudor bezel fading

Do all Tudor bezels fade over time? I've heard (and seen) pictures of this on certain models. People say it adds character i'd prefer no character and the color staying the same. Is it specific to certain models?

If the bezel is aluminum, yes. But! No exposure to UV and very unlikely, you'll notice a fade.

I had a bb58 with the black and gilt bezel. Over time the gilt faded and looked white after a while. Other than that personally speaking I’ve not had any fade. Although it will likely happen it would take years and the right environment for it to happen I guess.

I have seen a few black bay 58 blue bezels that have looked faded but I have had the 58 OG for 3.5 years and despite plenty of sunshine it doesn't look to have faded at all to me.

I have an original Tudor Black Bay that was purchased in 2012. The bezel still looks as it did 11 years ago, when compared to old wrist shots and the 2012 brochures in my collection.

I’m not an expert but I think it takes a long time. Like decades… and if you really wear the watch long enough to experience bezel/dial fade and still don’t like it, I’m sure RSC will replace the parts for you at service.

I recall someone posted their Harrods that lives in the middle East I believe and it faded a lot over a year but obviously only in that climate.

Should last as long as the paint on a well maintained car.

I hope mine fades. I have a bb58 blue, gmt, and new burgundy. If you don’t like the fade and it does (I don’t think it will unless it’s way down the line), you can change it for really cheap direct from Tudor anyway.

I’m not an expert on Tudor bezel fading either…

But my BBPro isn’t likely to fade

I have an original smiley ETA BB in red - bought about a month after they came out - no fade whatsoever...

BB58 gilt bezel markings are now a light silver color.

I actually forgot it has a gilt bezel until the recent BB54 came out and I saw the comparisons between the two.

Any anodized aluminum product will fade with UV/chemical exposure.

Adds character to me.

I wish it came this way to begin with, along with the hands and markers
