Any experience using Cartier watch service center?

I just recently purchased my green dial Santos de Cartier about two months ago. I only had the watch on for a second time and upon glancing down on the second hand, something caught me right away. There was a very noticeable mark on the surface of the short end of hand . I used a loupe and it looked like the surface was unpolished. I might have missed it when I was at Cartier boutique, because I don’t usually inspect dials or hands of new watches at this price range. The question is have any of you ever dealt with Cartier service centers for warranty repairs? I’m a little hesitant since the watch is brand new and I don’t want to have it opened and potentially getting dust or scratches on a mint watch. (Had that happened to me on a brand new SS Daytona and a Nautilus at their service centers). So I was just thinking to live with it and having it fixed down the road when it is time for a service .

The stem on my ADLC Santos completely pulled out of the movement in the first year. It was sent for warranty service to Cartier through my AD. They ended up replacing the whole movement. I was told the process would take 8-12 weeks. I ended up getting the watch back in about 5 weeks in perfect condition.

That’s great to hear. I wonder if Cartier shares the same service facilities with other Richemont watches. I had a JLC that was recently serviced and I was satisfied with their work.

They do share here in the states. It’s questionable when it comes to the more expensive brands (VC, etc) that fall under their umbrella.
