Do we now have to be logged in to read/browse threads (not post)? I was able to read/browse w/o being logged in but am unable to now.

I have logged out 3 times and am able to see and read the forum. I do need to sign back in to respond or access the personal options, pledge, mod, etc.

I do not think that anything has changed forum-wise.

OP is right. It's doing the same thing on my end for about two weeks now.

It started after the website was bogged down earlier this month. You cannot read any threads unless you're signed in, which wasn't the case before.

+1 I have tried multiple browsers on desktop (chrome, safari and edge) and you can’t read anything. Forces you to log in. Even on browser via phone.

You don't always have to log in to view the thread content.
However, when abuse of this privilege and the forums' resources occurs by external third parties it will be necessary to stop that abuse.
If you are a member you should always log in anyway, it doesn't make sense to not log in if you are a member.

Thanks for the clarification. I figured the change was for a reason and it makes sense given the previous malicious attempts on the site.

What I don’t understand is why at this moment of posting we have almost 4600 guests as active forum users that shouldn’t be able to access the forum? What are they doing?

Cannot view anything without logging in. Just started yesterday.

Tried it on different browsers on a MacBook Pro, and iPhone. Deleted cookies, different IP addresses (such as via WiFi or mobile ISP), same result.
