Quite true a valjoux cal 72 and was used right up till the introduction of the Rolex modded Zenith El-Primo movement around 1991.Then when Zenith could not, or would not, supply the movements to Rolex.Rolex had to make there very first own chrono movement 4130 caliber end of 2000.And one other point when Rolex were using the Valjoux movements none of the S.Steel case watches were COSC chronometer tested, only the all gold models although the movements were identical.

Link to a bit of history about my 6263.

Yes very special to myself.
Grail well not really Mike don't forget its only got what a lot of people call a lower class ETA Valjoux movement, and many poo poo ETA movements, but not myself. And I am sure that if the word Rolex was not on the dial, many would not even give it a second glance.Like many more similar powered of the time Valjoux Chrono watches, its all down to the name.

Those are WAY out of my watch budget, but here's something much more affordable that has that look.
