Going Gray 5167 vs 5168g

Hi all, I’m currently torn between the Aquanaut 5168G (green) and 5167A, with an $8k price difference in the gray market. Given the price, it seems logical to go with the 5168G. However, I haven’t tried either model in person. I have a larger wrist (7.8”), so I think the 5168G’s size might suit me well. That said, I’m curious whether the 5167’s smaller fit is better balanced or more comfortable overall. I’d love to hear your recommendations

I just purchased a 5168 (blue) from our boutique. I was initially interested in the RG Aquanaut, which I was also offered.
As soon as I saw the 5168 I was smitten BUT I was really concerned with the size as I have a 6.8 inch wrist.

Tried it on and at first it seemed big, then I tried the RG on again and it actually felt a bit small to me. Bought the 5168.
All of my other watches are 40s except my PP 5396 so I think it was in my head the 5168 ‘should be’ too big. Have owned it for a few weeks and I really love it.
I think you really need to try them on at the same time to see what feels best for you. For reference, I don’t care for larger watches on me in general.
Good luck!

Either should for your wrist well.

I would try to try them both on and go with your gut on the fit.

Personally I prefer the smaller size but I do like the dial choices on the G

I’d definitely go 5168!

Have about the same size wrist and the 5168 fits me much better. It’s pretty thin so the weight of the WG gives it a little more substance. Also like the applied hour markers better than the painted. $8k price difference seems like a pretty easy decision.

Saw the blue 5168G again at a party yesterday. Amazing color with much more going on then with the black 5167A dial IMHO. So if you can pull off the slight bigger size, my vote is for the 5168G!

I would go pre owned on either so you get the certificate of origin and warranty
