Realistic discount expectations
Lookin to pull the trigger on either a speedmaster prof moonwatch or the ‘57. What is a reasonable discount to ask for without being insulting?

I'm not sure how an Omega Boutique will respond to an offer below MSRP. My sense is you'll want to approach Omega Authorized Dealers for this.
There is a trusted seller in the Sales Corner here offering a new Speedmaster Pro with the warranty card (and everything else as new) at ~20% below MSRP. Same for the '57 in black on the bracelet. He's in Jersey, so if you're not receiving the watch in Jersey then you'll save sales tax, too (he ships to me in NY w/o tax, so I assume if you receive it in OH then that's true for you, too). His site indicates Hesalite and Sapphire are both in stock. |

Up here in the Great White North, the most you can expect to receive in discounts from our one and only OB is 5%. Although they may also include an extra strap.
That being said, some select AD's are starting to receive 'Boutique' exclusive watches. And that opens opportunities for greater discounts..... with 20% in savings within reason. |

My AD gives me 20-25% off depending on the model. Only model that was less was the white dial Speedy. Only 10% on that one. Payment is by wire only. No credit card. I've been dealing with them for about 15 years and buy brands other than Omega also.

That’s great! It would be hard to not buy new with a discount approaching 25%.

I get tax down here at my AD. That's it. Bought the white Speedy at a boutique and got nothing, obviously.

Ask for 10%. Boutiques, however, often won't discount. Smaller "mom and pop" AD's are more inclined to do so.

Let us know what happens, OP.
I'd suspect a bigger discount on the prof, rather than the '57 which is still rather limited. Both are obtainable on the grey market if you want to go that route, for substantial discounts.
