Need help choosing 1st Tourbillon

First of all, I will talk about what I have got in 2024. I got 26574ST and 26240CE.

So, I just went to AP house on 30th December 2024 before the new year, and discussed my next watch. So, SA has recommended me the next one I have aimed for will be Tourbillon. (Of course I have wait for salmon double balance wheel openworked steel also)

My SA said I have chance for either 26670ST(RD#3) or 26730OR (41mm) but I can't choose which one I should ask for. I have seen the price of both of these models, their both price are close. (Same level)
So, please feel free to help by giving me suggestions to me.

Thank you everyone!

So you got RO QP in steel and ceramic RO chrono as your first two pieces?
And your SA now recommends steel jumbo tourbillon?

Between the two, definitely RD3.

I prefer the RD3 here. I wonder if they recently finished a batch of them, as I turned one down a month or so ago, but only because it was an out of the blue offer within a month of me getting a mini and a 5168. May end up regretting that decision, but that will depend on what comes (or doesn't come) my way next year

26730OR would bring more diversity to your collection but the 26670ST is extra special with it's 39mm size.

I have a few AP tourbs...I prefer the 41 size personally....that's the route I'd take. Can't go wrong with either!

Oh jeez. What a dilemma! I think there’s other extra thins you’ll be able to add and I think the tourb works a little better on the 41.. Plus a full rose royal oak is a must. I’d go with the gold 41 here but I won’t be mad if you get the other one.
I got offered a rose tourb the day after I bought my rose perp and it was tough to turn down but it was just way too much for me at the time. They’re certainly not cheap.

I think I would hold off till AP announces the watches for the 150th. If they came out with a Sand Gold Tourbillon that could be pretty amazing.

The 41mm RG in my opinion - tourbs are always special, and the RG makes it even better!

That Rose Gold with the Blue dial is amazing.... More of a flex piece for sure

The SS is more of a daily matches everything

I would say go for what will fill that area of your collection thats missing For instance if you dont have any ROSE gold or Yellow Gold full bracelet Watches in your collection then thats an easy one!

Hi ! Thank you for your recommend!

I have joined to our AP family since 2022, but that year I got the code not RO. Then 2023, I got RO 41mm 15510ST, ROO diver 15720ST(green dial), 26240OR. Then 2024 I got the two wonderful watch that I mentioned.

Thank you everyone!

It seems like both are fine, but as I am expanding the collection and don't have a full rosegold RO (with a rosegold bracelet), I will talk to SA and go with 41RG Tourbillon.

However, as per your recommendation to wait and see for the 150th anniversary, I will persuade SA to not rush and wait for the 150th model (From what I heard and in our forum, It might be to new QP?)

Thank you again everyone ^__^ Cheers !

What's the current retail for the 26670ST?

RD3 is more interesting to me. The RD collections mean technical advancement and, for RD3, you get flying tourb in small and slim case. It's definitely something.

I agree, I also think the movement is more beautifully finished and has cooler architecture vs the 41mm. The 39mm having similar proportions to the jumbo would also wear better at least for someone with an average/smaller wrist like myself.

I got a 26670st 50th anniversary if anyone wants. I got it 2nd hand and it has barely any wear, shoot me a message if interested. Happy to go through a middleman dealer or whatever anyone is comfortable with for the transaction too. I'm located in South Florida.

Thanks for the reply.
Seeing what you have gotten prior to that, it makes sense.

If I could only have 1 AP it would be the 26670ST(RD#3).

I had to turn one down unfortunately. Was 210k after tax.

I didn’t know they were still making the 41mm tourb. I think the tourb works better with a 41mm.

What color dial was the 15510st after your code? Just curious.
