Trouble changing insert on 16710

I have always been able to swap inserts for my watch in less than 2 mins. Now after a while with the pepsi configuration I decided to swap to coke. The coke insert simply won't fit (I've fitted it countless times before). When I compare the coke insert to the pepsi or black insert they all appear to have the same profile and nothing seems bent or out of shape.

Would putting the insert in the fridge for a couple hours help? Any tips?

Must have gotten bent somehow, and it’s so subtle you don’t notice it. Take a loupe and check the bezel itself for any minuscule particles of debris, and clean it with a polishing cloth, before trying again. If it still won’t go in, take it to a jeweler and have him look at it.

I tried popping the pepsi insert in and out and np issues. So the bezel must be fine. The coke insert looks identical in profile to the pepsi. But maybe I can't see some difference that exists

The aluminum inserts have a slight conical shape, and each time you press one into the steel bezel the "cone" flattens out slightly, increasing the outside diameter of the insert. I don't think there's any quick fix to restore them to their original shape and resulting smaller O.D.

Putting it in the freezer for an hour or so may be worth a try.

Yes it does appear flatter than the pepsi insert. Wish there was a way to bring it back to original form

Bottle in the picture is not as perfect just quick combo shot to show how it works. Try press the insert evenly downward to restore! Good luck

Putting it in the fridge for a bit might help, as cold can sometimes make materials contract a bit, making it easier to fit.
