Now if there is a slow down and there is inventory and Patek continues to produce the same amount. By definition the market is not as tight. At some point that inventory will need to move into the market.
I really liked seeing my 5980/1R at 200K. It's nowhere near that now.

I stand by my statement a month ago. Prices have dropped. It's notable with 5990, 5711/1R, 5980/1R.

there are actually two forms of supply and demand. the first one is supply/demand to/from ADs and the second is supply/demand to/from greys. supply to ADs is probably fairly constant over time, demand from ADs has strongly increased and will keep doing so. clearly supply to the greys comes from AD sales, either direct or through flippers (new or preworn). i have no clear idea of the percentage of PP sport watches being delivered to ADs that ends up at greys. if i have to take a guess i'd say 30% or so. demand from greys has gone down, particularly in Asia and the greys try to sell off their inventory.

I just came back from HK. The discount at best for non sports items is 10% at best. Seems they are holding the prices.

It’s like developers refusing to sell as the mkt weakens... eventually they have to sell.. otherwise they just keep losing money on the carrying cost

Same business model

HK authorized dealers/retailers aren't (officially) allowed to give more than 10% for any model, as far as I know.

Anyone has prices of Natilus watches sold at the recent Sotheby's Hong Kong Auction?
Would those prices be reflective of the current market?
