Recent Rolex patent: a new jubilee (or non jubilee) clasp
interesting new patent filing from 11/12/19, with images...
https://pdfpiw.uspto.gov/.piw?docid=...6RS=AANM/rolex use the arrows to scroll through images and later, the text of the patent description. Most interesting is the text in column 4 that reads: "[....] the adjusting device [....] is associated with a multi-fold clasp having two or three folding leaves." Later, in column 8, first full paragraph: "[...] this object may be a deep sea diving accessory [...]" The images dont really show much, BUT its a potential sign of a new bracelet coming for, quite possibly, a new watch. Take it with a grain of salt, as i posted recently about the "Milsub" trademark. The images show a jubilee; however, the clasp can clearly be on an oyster as well. Wondering if Rolex is attempting not to give anything away by using images that throw off any future designs, etc since this is only about the clasp. |

Interesting. Seems something new coming. Agree that the photos don't show much at least to me as I am not used to reading such diagrams. The deep sea comment - I don't know. The DSSD has its own unique clasp now...time will tell.

I don't own any watches with jubilee bracelets so I don't know their features, but it kinda looks like an Easylink extension for a jubilee!
Cool find! |

.
Interesting ... but it's an old information. That's actual Gmt2 Blro/Blnr and new DJ jubilee bracelet. Patent is dated 2016. |

Would love that on the DD bracelet. Buying two 1.25 links to get the perfect fit has proved to be costly!

An Easy link usually just snaps into an existing clasp. If the width is the same then it would just replace the last link.
