Pepsi

What are your opinions on the Pepsi price on the gray market there around £14000 at the moment in England,Do you think it will just keep rising and rising with there been such low stock and long waiting lists everywhere in the world ?

What exactly are you getting at here?

If you are trying to establish if its a good time to buy, nobody has the answer. The Pepsi is a current model in mass production and 14 K is totally outrageous.

Well, I keep reading on here that the bubble has burst and prices are coming down. I honestly have not seen prices dropped but I may be looking in the wrong place.

The pepsi and batman grey prices are absolutely outrageous, even a good friend of mine that are absolutely in love with them wont pay anything more than 50% premium over retail for it, and its not that he cant afford it, its simply bonkers!

Nobody knows whether this is a good time to buy - but it's unquestionably a good time to sell.

It will be interesting to see a few years down the road what happens with the preowned market for the Pepsi. Right now people are either going to great lengths to buy retail at an AD or paying a huge premium to go gray.

Priced out of my comfort zone for what you’re getting, that’s how I feel about it.

I would not be interested in paying over MSRP for a watch, car, pair of shoes, or beanie baby.

Sounds like you’re planning to sell it before you’ve even bought it ?

No definitely not but I don’t want to give £14000 for a watch to find next year it will be worth £10000

Pepsi

My feeling is that prices will fall, but not precipitously so. It will take a year or two. If you don’t want to loose money, then be patient and buy at MSRP from an AD. A big reason these watches are so expensive on the Grey market is because the people buying them are so impatient.

I don't buy a watch unless I plan to hold it for at least 10 years. My experience is that if it is a quality piece I can usually sell it for at least what I paid. I have bought from both AD's and resellers when I felt good about the purchase and love the watch. "Buying at MSRP only" doesn't mean much to me. If I like the watch and imagine (admittedly subjective) it will hold value I'm not going to try to guess which way the market will go. I'd say the current market price is what quality resellers are ACTUALLY selling the watch for. For Rolex SS models the current market is well above MSRP. Will it go up or down, I sure don't have the foggiest idea. I travel a great deal and find Rolex in very high demand which certainly supports a strong market.

I don't expect great price escalation from mass produced products. I also trade in the vintage market and find if well chosen, realizations are generally good.

The cheapest on Chrono24 is just over £14,000 and they go up from there.
I’ve seen them into the £15-16k which is ridiculous.

£14k isn’t horrendous all things considered

Welcome to the forum. I don't think these grey prices will last. At some point they sports models will stabilize and may agin be found below msrp at grey's.
