the aquanaut was born to be on a rubber strap, I am surprised they still do it on a bracelet. I think you should still pull the trigger and then have two options for a strap, it will feel like a new watch

I think Patek should definitely cancel the bracelet option. While they're at it they should cancel the white dial 5711.

True, IMO most people only buy the bracelet version to put on the strap shortly after.

I read that the waitlist for the 5167 bracelet is shorter but its not that easy to get a rubber strap subsequently.

With the incredible demand of PP stainless model, bracelet is acceptable to me though i would like to get the rubber strap in the near future

I got the strap and clasp within 2 weeks after i received the bracelet version so it doesnt seems to be a problem.

IMO the Aquanaut on rubber is one of THE best wearing watches ever. Perfect, unobtrusive grip and light as a feather. I never tried the bracelet but from looks alone does not appear to be (IMO) special the way the rest of the watch is...

After wearing my Aquanaut regularly for 7+ years I recently let it go. I still have a new, spare rubber strap, factory sealed, that I plan to sell on the forum as soon as the 2020 dues thing rolls around. If anyone is interested, PM me.

When I bought my Aquanaut, it was right out of the AD's display case and not considered anywhere near as desirable as it is today. My, how times change...

Best to all,
-JM

While I've never worn one on bracelet, I prefer the look of the strap. The strap differentiates it from the Nautilus.

Kind of like why there is little love for the Nautilus on a strap. Some things just go together in the minds of users and Aqua and rubber band are one of those things that just go together.

If you wake up one day and decide the red strap and second hand are just too bold for your calm personality, PM me and I'll trade my plain jane 5167 for it, no questions asked.

Has to be rubber, i am a big bracelet fan on all my normal watches.

The Aquanaut just sings to me on the rubber. Loving the blue dial and strap or the green or the red ha.

I don't own one, although its defiantly on my to have list. Being honest i will add that i have not tried one as on yet, either rubber or bracelet.

I am told i may have a remote possibility for the 1a bracelet but the rubber strap is definitely out...

Would you guys just stick to the bracelet version?

My 2 cents: If you don't have a Nautilus, get it on both. If you have a Nautilus, skip the bracelet.

Dont see why not. Clasp is 1300 + 300 for the strap.

Rubber looks great, the steel bracelet design looks awkward, it contradicts the purpose of Aquanaut.
If you buy Aquanaut at retail you are ok; but if you buy at Premium you will not gonna get your money back. The grey premium price is like 100% premium over retail and dealers that have speculated paying 50% over retail
and carries more than 5 aquanauts slashing prices and market today has died. You will see dead bodies floating on the rivers.

If you own an aquanaut on bracelet it’s very easy to buy the clasp and rubber straps separately.

Fact of life is no one buys a sports ss model at retail without ever spending alot more $$ on other models.

There are people who buys premium to avoid the spending and waiting game.

As to where the future price is going, your guess is as good as mine.
