My Feelings are Hurt - 16570

I’m not one to care about others opinions.

My buddy, who’s a watch guy, albeit inexpensive pieces, looked at my wrist over dinner and said, “Is that your TAG?”

More than a week later, it’s still on my mind.

Same for me brother.

Your insecurity is more telling than his errant comment.

lol, I own a couple Tags, they are great watches. The older ExpII polar does kind of look like a Tag Link from the early 2000’s

For some a TAG is a luxury piece, especially if you only own Invictas. He was likely paying you a compliment. Not much of a watch guy if he can't tell a Rolex from a TAG, fwiw.

To be honest I can’t stop staring at the food on the table. I think it’s been a serious minute since I had some onion rings.

Those were the best onion rings I’ve had in my life and the highlight of the meal.

Not many onion rings get that kind of recognition.

I wanted a late 90s early 2000 TAG so badly but back then, my after-school job at the deli just didn’t cut it.

I used to have a TAG like that. It was my first TAG and I sometimes miss it!

I’d probably just let it slide. If he’s a buddy he wasn’t being ill-intentioned. Maybe he’s into watches but just not as much as you, no harm no foul. And you got some great onion rings so it was a good evening.
