DJ II Vs DJ 41

Could someone explain the difference, if there is any? Just a naming change or are there actual variances between?

The DJII is bigger and has slightly different proportions. It also never came with a jubilee bracelet, whereas the DJ41 does.

DJII is 41 mm diameter and slightly thicker. The baton markers and bezel are also thicker as compared to the DJ41

The DJ41 is 39.5 mm and follows the proportions of the 36 mm Datejusts a little closer. It is also available with a jubilee bracelet

The II comes across as a little more sporty while the 41 is a little more dressy. Both are fantastic watches.

Also, the DJ41 has the newer movement 3235. Great watch..

I have heard this piece of info a few different times and want to get some clarification because the Rolex site says "41mm Diameter" for the DJ41. Does 41mm include the crown? Or what is the measurement that ends up 39.5mm?

ss Daytona is also 39.5mm .PMs a bit larger .

I have seen this watched measured 100 times. It is 39.5 mm when measuring in the exact same way you measure the II which is a true 41 mm diameter.

Rolex does not include the crown or crown guard in their measurement (Omega does include the guards).

The II was also listed on the Rolex website as being 41 mm diameter. So to answer your question, both the listed diameter and the name of the watch itself is deceptive and a lie. They do the same thing with the Daytona which is listed on the site as 40 mm but measures significantly shy of 39. Just something they do for marketing purposes I guess.

Many posts on this subject. I would say that if your wrist size is greater than 7 inches than you might like the DJII. If you just prefer a smaller classically proportioned watch then get DJ41 which is really 39mm. The 3136 movement in the DJII is deadly accurate in the + - 2/ day zone. If you need 70+ power reserve go for the DJ41 otherwise equally accurate. I owned both, sold DJ41 and prefer the DJII because wrist size 7.5 inches. The DJ 41 I would need to buy at least one link, and maybe two to wear comfortably.

I don't have large wrists (6.5"), and the DJ41 doesn't look like a tuna can on my wrist. Wears very similarly to an OP39 (b/c, as it has been pointed out, it is not actually 41).

Good point. I bought 2 links for my DJ41 Jubilee and it fits perfectly on my 7 1/2” wrist
